AboutIt's a new year, a new decade and time for a new "about the artist" description.The one I had before was all boring stuff about how I got started creating art andhow I was "finding my voice" as an artist...blah blah blah! But 2010 is all about experimenting, trying new stuff, venturing beyond my comfort zone and having funwith it all! I will introduce myself....I'm Lydia. I'm in my early (eh-hem) 30's and I live in San Diego. I'm a full-time artist. I've been married for 10 (almost 11) years and I have two awesome kids. The art speaks for itself, I think....I hope! I work mostly with acrylics, but this yearI'm down to learn more about oil painting and do some fun stuff with plain ol' drawing! My subject matter is usually women, so I guess you could call me a figurative painterbut I love to create something interesting, fun and even meaningful out of any subject matter.Most of the time I don't know what it's all about until after it's on the canvas (or paper) and then it tells me the story and makes sense to me...and hopefully to you too!ENJOY!
